- Cruise ship passengers cruising in and out of a Russian port within 72 hours, who spend each night on board, and who only leave the ship on tours organized by the cruise company, do not require a tourist visa.
- The Canadian government advises its citizens not to visit Russia due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
- Process of tourist visas for stays with a period of 30 days is required.
- Canadians with a valid visa issued by Belarus can enter the Russian Fed visa free and the Belarusian visa must be valid for the period of intended stay in The Russian Fed.
