- The New Zealand government advises its citizens not to travel to Sudan due to armed conflict, civil unrest, terrorism and kidnapping. New Zealanders who travel to Sudan against our advice should make sure they have appropriate security measures in place. You should also have a plan for departure if the security situation deteriorates.
